jesus billboard11 Billboards proclaim date of Christ's return

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Coming to a billboard near you: the exact date of Jesus’ return, or at least according to one Christian group.

“They just show the kind of typical Christmas portrait – a silhouette of the Wise Men, and the Star of Bethlehem,” explains Alison Warden, a spokesperson for the group We Can Know — based in South Carolina. “The text says, ‘He’s coming again, May 21st, 2011.'”

Warden says the date is based on an analysis of scripture and is meant to spur interest in the Bible, and not frighten anyone.   So why bring the ad campaign to St. Louis? Warden says the billboards target areas where “people hadn’t heard this information” about Christ’s return.

The billboards will be going up on Page, Lindbergh, St. Charles Rock Road, Interstate 270, Highway 141 and along Missouri Bottom Road. Similar billboards are going up in several cities including Kansas City, Omaha, Nashville and Louisville.

Good grief! Not frighten anyone? What happens on May 22nd?? Will they never stop doing things to make Christianity less appealing? One of the great mystery’s of Christianity is that NOBODY knows when Christ will come again – quite the incentive for ALL people to try to be doing their best all the time, just in case. We sure have a lot of people who should hear that message these days. That’s what I’d like to see on a billboard. is going to find themselves in a box with Westborough Baptist if they’re not careful.

I can’t tell you when Jesus is coming again but I can tell you when He is NOT going to come again & that is May 21, 2011!
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” – Matthew 24:36.

cool, he can stop by Memorial Day BBQ. Morons.

  4. David says:

Actually the Christ has already returned this year. He is still incognito, acting as an ordinary person without declaring himself.

You just need to recognize him for yourself. This may not be that easy, since he will appear as an ordinary man until most people acknowledge him. The way to recognize him is thru his words or the message that he brings – the message of peace, brotherhood and justice.

My input on the matter is that they are “false prophets” Jesus Christ himself said that no man knows the day nor the hour. Christ will also said that many will come in His name “claiming to be Christians” but there reallly not. My thing is that ALL people who call themselves Christians will be labled as liars when Jesus does not return on May 21, 2011. Hence, another reason for people not to believe the real truth.
