onlineshopping Online buyers beware

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster is urging caution for last-moment Christmas shoppers looking for good deals on the Internet.

Koster has launched a website with tips for checking if an Internet-based business is offering products that are too good to be true.

Visitors to the site can also check if a business is failing to use a secure system for charging credit card numbers.

He says shoppers should be wary of falling victim to identity theft or of purchasing counterfeit products. Click HERE to find online shopping tips.
