CAHOKIA, IL. (KMOX) – Cahokia Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man (left) who robbed the Scott Credit Union on Mississippi Avenue this afternoon.

“During a banking transaction the suspect displayed a hand gun to the teller and demanded money” said Cahokia Police Captain James Jones.

Capt. Jones says the gunman fled with an unknown amount of money.

Meanwhile, St. Louis County authorities are searching for a man (right) wearing a McDonalds shirt they believe robbed a Spanish Lake bank Friday morning.

Police say it happened at the Commerce Bank on Pattern Drive.

The suspect did not show a weapon but implied he had one. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male with short hair and a mustache, about 25-35 years old and weighing 175-200 pounds. He was wearing a McDonald’s restaurant style button-up short sleeved shirt, with a black long sleeved shirt underneath.

Police believe the suspect is wanted for robbing the US Bank off of Gravois Road Saturday.

    I will never wear a seat belt again ,the belt dam near killed me in 2004 car crash I was hit head on at 80 miles an hour. The seat belt broke in half and after testing it was found to be none damged before the accident.
