ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong announced that defenseman Barret Jackman and forward Alex Steen will miss four to six weeks due to injuries suffered in the Blues’ 4-3 overtime win in Columbus on Wednesday.

Jackman, 30, underwent successful surgery to repair a broken right index finger on Thursday morning. Through 55 games, the longtime Blues defenseman since 2001 has 13 points with a plus-minus of 1. This has been a tough season with injuries for Jackman.

Alex Steen, 27, was diagnosed with a high right ankle sprain after undergoing an MRI this afternoon. In 67 games for Steen, 27, has 48 points with 18 goals and 30 assists. The Blues signed the Winnipeg native to a four-year contract last July.
