BONNE TERRE, Mo. (KMOX) –  Missouri officials have removed nearly 200 animals from an animal rescue group in Bonne Terre.

The Department of Agriculture discovered issues at the St. Francois Society last month and during another inspection Monday.

The group’s license has been revoked.

More than 120 dogs and 60 cats were taken by the county sheriff and placed with other shelters including the Humane Society.
