ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  Police are looking into an after-hours robbery Sunday evening at a downtown McDonalds restaurant.

A police spokesperson says when employees were unlocking the doors to leave for the night, two men were waiting outside the McDonalds at 119 N. Tucker.

They forced their way inside and ordered the workers to the back of the store before demanding cash, according to police spokesperson Erica Van Ross.

“Several media outlets have contacted the Command Post, indicating that they heard the employees were tied up,” Van Ross reports.  “That is not true.”

She does say that the men indicated they were armed but that no weapon was displayed at any time.

The suspects made off with an undetermined about of cash.

There were no reported injuries.
