ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The hum of dehumidifiers in the lobby, the staircases, and just about every hallway of the Fox Theatre.

The historic Theatre is set to reopen its doors tonight with a performance of “Jersey Boys” after being closed for two days.

“For all practical purposes the smell is gone,” said Fox Associates president Rich Baker. “We’ve now cleaned and wiped every chair in the place and every wall and every mirror and its in pretty good shape.”

A three-alarm fire broke out at the Fox on Sunday morning, in a mechanical room just above the lobby. No cause has been determined.

Most of the damage, was from smoke and water.
