TOWN & COUNTRY, Mo. (KMOX) – Investigators believe the man who was robbed outside his Town and Country home Friday evening, was targeted by his attackers.

Captain Gary Hoelzer says the two suspects were waiting for the victim just before 9 pm when he pulled into his driveway in the 22 hundred block of Cedar Valley, the road on the east side of I-270 near Clayton Rd, “It appears they knew he had a bank bag and they knew the approximate time he would be arriving home.”

Hoelzer says the two men, wearing ski masks and armed with a handgun, ran toward the victim from a tree-line near the driveway, knocked him down, grabbed his key and fob and got the bank bag out of his car.  Hoelzer says they ran north Drace Park.

Hoelzer is hoping someone driving along I-270 may have seen the suspects. In addition to the ski masks they were wearing dark shirts. One was wearing red sweatpants, the other was wearing gray sweatpants.

If you saw anything that might assist in the investigation, call Town and Country Police at 314-737-4600.
