ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – The head of a consumer watchdog group says she’s “elated” with charges against the founders of a car warranty firm.

St. Louis Better Business Bureau President Michelle Corey tells KMOX,  USfidelis has been on their radar for years.

“The vehicle service industry has been the subject of 5,700 consumer complaints registered at the Better Business Bureau and of those, 2,300 concern USfidelis.”

Corey she believes the industry was built on deception and USfidelis was the leader.

But she warns, even with all the scrutiny placed on the industry in recent years, consumers are still being fooled by questionable sales tactics from similar firms.
