LEBANON, Ill. (KMOX) – Police are investigating the discovery of a Metro East woman’s body inside a parked car.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that a man walking his dog came across the scene in Lebanon early Tuesday, not far from McKendree University.
The body was that of 35-year-old Valesha Troutman-Foster.
She’d been reported missing after leaving her family’s home in Shiloh Saturday night.
Police had been called to that home for the report of a domestic disturbance.
Troutman-Foster reportedly volunteered to leave to ease tensions, despite concerns by some family members that she might do herself harm.
She is said to have reassured relatives that wasn’t the case and was allowed to drive away.
