Mike Shannon and Mike Claiborne are celebrating the Cards’ victory over the Cubs and Albert Pujols’ 2000th career hit tonight at Mike Shannon’s Steak and Seafood.

Mike and Mike are joined by Cards’ broadcaster John Rooney, St. Louis Post Dispatch reporter Joe Strauss, and Chicago Tribune writer Paul Sullivan. They get a chance to talk about recent trades in the league and milestones they’ve witnessed.

The trade of Colby Rasmus is still a hot topic in St. Louis. The guys give us their take on the matter, as well as some other famous trades.

Chicago Tribune writer Paul Sullivan has one question for the fans of St. Louis: why don’t we like Tony LaRussa?

Sports reporters can have a rough job. Some days the coaches and players are happy to answer questions, and other days they’re not as agreeable. The guys swap some war stories of their own.

We’re in the second half of the season and everyone is looking forward to October. Mike, Mike, Joe, and Paul talk about their predictions for the playoffs.
