ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Better Business Bureau of St. Louis has a warning for those who may consider using the services of youth baseball instructor Eric Schifferdecker.

Agency president Michelle Corey says her office has received more than a dozen complaints about the Chesterfield man taking money and making promises, then not delivering on them, “It’s not only local parents who’ve been extremely let down after paying thousands of dollars to him to assist with baseball tournaments and other things, but also businesses have been scammed too, evidently.”

KMOX News has been unable to reach Eric Schifferdecker for a comment.

The Better Business Bureau is telling parents of young athletes to be sure and get any agreement for services in writing, complete with any refund terms.

It also suggests dealing only with instructors who have references.
