ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Medical Examiner has ruled out murder in the death of a 2-year-old south St. Louis girl.
But Police say the cause of death for Jessica Gregorio hasn’t been determined.
Investigators have called the child’s passing “sudden and suspicious”.
She was found unresponsive when emergency responders arrived at her home responded in the 36-hundred block of Alberta around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Homicide detectives have been taken off the case.

First responders to a home in the 3600 block of Alberta found Jessica Gregorio to be unresponsive.
She was rushed to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The homicide unit is handling the investigation, but a cause of death has not yet been determined.
Police have released no other details about the girl’s family or the circumstances surrounding her death.
