UNDATED (AP) — The father of a former Marine convicted of killing his wife and two sons in Columbia, Ill. says his son has been transferred to a prison in Wisconsin.

The Rev. Ron Coleman tells the Belleville News-Democrat that Christopher Coleman was transferred last week to the Dodge Correctional Center in Waupun, Wis.

A Dodge staffer says a man with the same age and name as Coleman recently entered the prison.

The Corrections Department revealed in June that Coleman would be moved out of Illinois under an interstate agreement that allows prisoners in high-profile cases to be transferred for safety and security reasons.

A corrections spokeswoman says no incident prompted the move.

Coleman is serving a life sentence for killing Sheri Coleman and their 11- and 9-year-old sons in 2009.
