CLAYTON, MO (KMOX) – Taking heat from Muslim groups upset with a coloring book about the 9/11 Attacks, a publisher says he’s been in contact with local police and the FBI.

Wayne Bell, the Publisher of Really Big Coloring Books, Inc., says there’s been a negative backlash against the book “We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids’ Book of Freedom.”

“These are people from Al-Jazeera that have called in here numerous times, people from Iranian TV, people from Palestinian Hamas TV,” Bell said, “A lot of people from the Islamic community have called in here and said increasingly negative things prior to the book being made and then after we made the book too, about the book itself.”

The book features images of Osama Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists.  It also shows American citizens upset by the attacks, including a woman with a cross around her neck.  But it shows no Muslim Americans mourning the attacks.

The Council on American Islamic Relations has criticized the book as one-sided, only portraying Muslims as either “extremists” or “terrorists. ”

Bell was asked to explain the absence of patriotic Muslim Americans in the book who were also opposed to the attacks.

“Well, I don’t know, I mean this is what our research showed us,” Bell said, “Every time we mention one of the hijackers we call them what they are.  And that’s what parents wanted.  Radical, Islamic, Muslim Extremists.  And every time we mention one of the hijackers like the three guys that drove the plane into the Pentagon, there’s nothing else you can call them.  I mean, what do think,  they’re having a bad hair day?”

The book has been selling briskly, so fast that Bell said he had no extra copies for reporters to take with them today.   Bell declined to disclose how many copies have sold, except to say “a lot.”

When asked about whether he has had any threats because of the book, Bell stopped short of saying he had.

“That’s our C.O.O., ” Bell said, pointing to a co-worker, “He’s talked to the Clayton police department, a sergeant at the Clayton police department and the FBI, regarding your question.  That’s the answer to your question.  And so, it’s really good to be aware of your surroundings.   We’ll put it that way.

The 911 terrorists were radical, satanic filth, and the peaceful members of their own religion an culture are among their saddest victims. But it’s the terrorists’ fault it all happened, not some coloring book publisher’s. I hope he sells truckloads of them.

    1. gsw says:

not satanic – islamic – different gods. That’s like calling a christian “someone who worships Thor”.

      1. MaxineH20gotohell says:

Well you know they follow the antichrist. That is satanic. Muslim’s are waiting for their “savior” who is the Christian antichrist. The Christian Savior is their antichrist. That tells you something.

      2. Cain says:

Actually Islam finds its roots with Christianity and Judaism, all three religions come from Abraham as their fore bearer. Satan in Islamic texts is referred to as Shaitan. Islam is the youngest of the 3 faiths coming about during the 600’s. It is for all intents and purposes a 3rd translation of the same religion. Just a bit of fun information from a veteran United State Marine who is a Islamic studies minor

    2. smashicus says:

Is that why Muslims in places like Egypt and Palestine were dancing in the streets celebrating the 911 atttacks right after it happened? These terrorists are basically the “Special Forces” of Islam carrying out missions which the mainstream Islamists can deny involvement in.

      1. njersey says:

Muslims in places like Paterson, NJ were also dancing in the streets after 9/11. That’st right – I saw it with my own eyes.

      2. RC is the way to be!! says:

The cbc tried to quash a story about taxi drivers cheering at Toronto’s largest (International) airpport, upon hearing the newsof 9-11. muzzies are sick in the head.

    3. Nancy O'Connell says:

I am glad to see that this book publisher is calling it the EXACT way it happened
I am sick and tired of worrying about offending the Islamist.

    4. Andy Buff says:

I agree totally. I hope he sells a million or more!

I would appreciate someone providing me with a link to order a few myself. Thanks

  2. Frank Scarn says:

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the ideologue and eventual religio-political leader of Iran, following the retrograde “Islamic revolution” of 1978-79, said the following in this 1942 statement,

“Those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. All the countries conquered by Islam or to be conquered in the future will be marked for everlasting salvation. For they shall live under Allah’s law (Sharia). … Islam says: “Kill [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter their armies.” Islam says: “Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors (jihadists)!” There are hundreds of other Koranic psalms and hadiths (sayings of the prophet) urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim. … Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless.”

Khomeini reiterated these views upon assuming power in 1979,

“The great prophet of Islam [Mohammed himself] carried in one hand the Koran and in the other a sword; the sword for crushing the traitors and the Koran for guidance. … Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels but a religion of guidance for other people. … We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry “There is no God but God” resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle.”

9/11’s nineteen hijackers followed Mohammed’s example. They cited the koran for their inspiration/motivation and they used the sword which for them were jet airliners.

    > The Council on American Islamic Relations

This is “journalism” ??? How about mentioning the fact that CAIR is a Muslim Brotherhood Front implicated in terrorist funding, with some of its former leaders now spending prison time for terrorist related activities?

But you fail to even mention this, not to mention all of the litigation and fraud that has followed in CAIR’s wake.

Not a very good and unbiased source of comments for this article, now was it?

    > asked to explain the absence of patriotic Muslim Americans in the book who were also opposed to the attacks.

Lets see, they were dancing in the streets throughout the Muslim world on 9/11. And whenever a Muslim (e.g. CAIR) is interviewed regarding 9/11, all we have EVER heard is whining and crying about supposed “backlash” that there is no record of. (statistics show that the numbers of hate crimes against Muslims has actually declined radically since 9/11 and is virtually non-existent in comparison to anti-semitic hate crimes etc)

But, have you heard any actual statements by Muslim organizations sympathizing with non-Muslims on 9/11??? I thought not! Instead, any statements from the Muslim community regarding 9/11 always end up blaming the US. CONSISTENTLY!

And what have any of the organizations done to counter Islamic extremism and terrorism in their own communities? NOTHING.

Studies of mosques throughout this country have confirmed the testimony of “moderate” Muslims, that the vast majority of Mosques in the US preach intolerance and hatred towards non-Muslims.

And a recent poll shows that 20% of Muslims SUPPORT suicide bombings.

Muslims sympathizing with the hated Kafirs/Infidels when other Muslims attack them? Give us a break here. Why would this author depict such a non-reality?

  4. george whyte says:

Qur’an:4:78 “Wherever you are, death will find you, even if you are in towers strong and high! So what is wrong with these people, that they fail to understand these simple words?”

  5. Jay, Manchester, United Kingdom says:

I salute Wayne Bell for publishing this colouring book.

Once again, somebody is lambasted (in this case, the publisher) for simply stating fact. How dare anybody point out the elephant in the room in this day and age, when there are so many people waiting to be ‘offended’.

If the colouring book depicts factual events (which apparently, it does), then what is the problem of introducing this important part of history to our children through this medium?

Again, well done Wayne Bell. I sincerely hope that others will follow your example.

  6. dirt says:

I applaud the publisher for producing the book, I’d love to see the Koran in all it’s medieval barbarity made into a coloring book. Religion of peace, spare me the balony.

  7. Chicago Nick says:

“Bell was asked to explain the absence of patriotic Muslim Americans in the book who were also opposed to the attacks.”

Because that would be a mythical lie. That’s why. Not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims. That’s what the children need to be learning. That Muslims will use Taquiyya to stab anyone in the back anytime that’s a non Muslim and that they prey for the destruction of Israel and the US and the west in general 5 times a day.

That’s what should be portrayed, not some PC Lie that they all love America and Freedom because they don’t. A LIE. They love ISLAM and nothing else. Especially LIFE. They value death and destruction in the name of Allah.

  8. Lauren says:

Where can I get this coloring book?

  9. James G. Needham says:

Why do Muslims protest coloring books but remain silent when hundreds of thousands are slaughtered in the name of their faith?

    1. gsw says:

because pictures – any pictures not just those of Mo – are considered ‘dirty’ in islam.
Hadith -Bukhari 5:338, Narrated Ibn Abbas: …”Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.”
Imagine the absolute horror of a kufir making a book of pictures of islamic heroes; and calling them terrorists!

  10. kozanne says:

Think I’ll buy 10 or so copies. Oh, yes the link does work. I just gave it to about 150 other people on a forum I belong to.

The shariah whiner community had best be damn careful about who they threaten in this country. We don’t abide by their laws. And there is no way in hell they will EVER get away with murdering another American citizen again and escape OUR justice.

  11. Hank Warren says:

Forget the sick 9/11 propaganda coloring book. Don’t waste your hard-earned money, instead read a BANNED 9/11 book like “America Deceived II” by a real rebel and the “World’s Most Hated Author”, E.A. Blayre III.
Last link (before Google Books bans it also]:

    1. Eric Mazzone says:

This book is NOT banned quit claiming it is!

  12. Steven says:

Nothing’s new…. you would see plenty of text books in Gaza and the Islamic-fascism countries that taught the children on against (even killing) all the infidels and fight to dominating the islam over the world while HAMAS backed CAIR, other islamic organisations and leftists keep silence… even CAIR invited the radical islamic imams etc. etc. to their special function, and received the funds from the islamic countries that don’t support the religion freedom for non-muslims (or the muslims want to leave islam)…. CAIR kept silence on the honour killings by American-muslims. Double standard!!! This colouring book doesn’t say all the muslims, just the radical islamic terrorists.

  13. AJ says:

I am thrilled by all the people in this comment section who are speaking up about Islam. We must speak up while we still can. It will get harder the longer we wait.
Islam used to be one of my favorite religions, but that was because I only had studied it as a religion. Then I started to learn about the social/poltical side of Islam. I was shocked.
The European Court of Human Rights ruled in 2003 that sharia is incompatible with democracy. Those judges are not Tea Party members. They are ultra-liberal Europeans, for pity’s sake. Please tell others.
Q: Is Islam a religion of peace?
A: Islam is a religion of domination and control, and it will use every means, ranging from public relations lies to legal battles to war and terrorism to establish totalitarian Islam over all else.
Many Muslims, probably most Muslims, are nice. That won’t help you if you end up under a Muslim majority, because sharia law will tell them what they have to do to you. They won’t have a choice, because Islam is not a democratic system. You will be a second-class citizen, if you are lucky.
Listen to Brigitte Gabriel or Ali Sina. They know.
If you google political islam and religion of peace you can learn more. Look on YouTube and see what is happening in Sweden. Look up videos about Lars Vilks for some real eye-openers.
Do you want to know the future? Study the past and present. Study what Islam has done and is doing all around the world. Thanks to the Internet you can do that. The more you learn, the more chilling it is.
Okay, I’ve said my piece. Now I’m ready to be called Islamophobic or racist. I’m willing to put up with that because I am determined to do my part to try to save our country from a totalitarian system hiding behind the disguise of a religion.

    1. G.B. says:

Thanks for your info. Very enlightening. Please google “Rick Perry and Islam” for another shocker. As the strongest Repub contender, it looks like we have here a pandering compromising one worlder who will probably be soft on the admission of Sharia law in our country. Lots of info here. See what you think.

      1. A.J. says:

Thanks, G.B., I will do that now.

  14. Karl Magnus says:

Kudos to the stand-up guy and his crew.
Intimidation only works on the weak-kneed.

  15. Mr. Ikar says:

The people who attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were Islamic radiicals,.Who should they depict as the attackers , Vulcans!?

  16. says:

Muslim liars trying to rewrite history. The terrorists were Muslims! Accept the truth.

  17. David Christensen says:

Interesting it is that a significant number of Muslims went berserk at an amusement park because they were not able to ride on the roller coaster when they refused to remove headwear as required for safety purposes. This happened on the same day two American service members were killed by their brothers and another 10 or so people died when a Muslim extremist suicide-murderer blew himself up in Iraq. And, we are supposed to abide these fools?

  18. bargal says:

I don’t doubt that there may be some patriotic Muslims living among we Americans but pray tell, where are they. Why are they not in the streets of every town in every state of this great land and protesting the radicals? Are they too so informed of the horror the radicals bring upon those thatr doen’t agree with their agenda, that they are hiding in fear for their lives and the safety of their loved ones here and abroad? Come out Come out whereever you are

  19. Rodger Barker says:

Too funny. Obama has a book he can read and color at the same time.

  20. yhrturturu says:

They left out the kenyan muslim who rigged the 2008 election and seized the white house!

  21. Mike says:

I do not care what they think about the coloring book or anything else that bohers the Muslims about the do not like it here..then leave….but I’lll be
damned if we are going to change our Constitution or the way this country is based upon you being here.

  22. Osamas Pajamas says:

The Democrats and the Muslims get really annoyed when you challenge their patriotism by telling the truth — instead of kowtowing to the lies, distortions and disinformation of politically-correct groupthink.

  23. Raul says:

muslimes dont like to see the truth! Go back to muslimes country and radicalize it!

  24. Raul says:

Sorry muslimes get over it, here in America we have a thing called FREE SPEECH! If you dont agree with that then LEAVE, believe me nobody will miss you!

  25. blorjr says:

Are christians ever portrayed in a positive way in the Muslim world?. I didn’t think so

  26. B Woodman says:

I don’t know what the gun laws are in that vicinity, but I would suggest the the owner of this publishing firm STRONGLY encourage any employees that have guns and want to carry them, open or concealed, to do so. Send a message, “You can threaten, bluster and bluff all you want. But I double-dog-dare you to come here with physically violent intent.”

  27. Brian B says:

I’m done with worrying about muslims being upset. Show me the peace lovers , the non-violent and maybe I’ll give you another chance. The problem is their religion propagates violence plain and simple.

  28. Caroline Miniscule says:

    Hands up anyone who

    a) thinks a coloring book trivializes the event or turns it into fiction

    b) knows any kid who would want to color in such a boring subject instead of dinosaurs or Spongebob Square Pants.

If this thing is actually selling, it’s not at the request of a kid.

  29. Leonid Kurtich says:

Why do Muslims think it’s appropriate for them to tell us how we should grieve or remember the fallen in the attack carried out in the name of Muslim religion. I don’t see German groups lecture Israelis on how they should commemorate Holocaust. Germans fully accepted the blame and apologize profusely, even the new generation that had nothing to do with it and they also accept the fact that some who suffered through it will never forgive them.

  30. melanie188 says:

Until Christians start driving planes into other countries buildings in the name of Jesus, all the Christian comparisons are illogical. It just sounds like they are defending the Muslims actions, couching it in “well, we have Christians who believe in basically the same thing.” No, we don’t.

  31. NoInfo ToShare says:

I’m sure over on the radical Muslim side, they have coloring books of our homegrown Christianoids hanging and burning blacks, assassinating doctors, hating and beating their gay neighbors, and government leaders droning on about “God is great” and “God needs your money to help me get elected.”

    1. NoInfo ToShare says:

…and as with most “Christian” conservatives exploiting the faith of the mindless, this will probably make a boatload of money.

  32. Sofie says:

I am literally shocked by all the hateful comments. Really, you people are some of the most idiotic people I’ve ever read the comments of. Are you so stupid that you think if you get rid of all Muslims the world will be a peaceful place? There will never be peace as long as there is this type of hostile attitudes at large.
This is strangely similar to a certain German’s way of thinking…

You can’t simply judge a entire population by the actions of few. And yes, the percentage of Muslims that practice terrorism and anti-American behaviour is low.

Fighting for peace is like having sex for virginity, people. If there’s anyone to blame for war it’s people like you, that gloat at the thought of doing things to bother Muslims just because you’re angry.
