HARTFORD, IL. (KMOX) – A Hartford, Illinois man is accused of severely injuring his nine week old child.

Fields is charged with aggravated battery of a child.

Investigators say the mother and father (Matthew Fields) live at the same address, but are not married.

Bond was set at $500,000
