JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill says she raised $1.2 million in the third quarter of the year, and her campaign says she has slightly more than $3.72 million in cash on hand as she runs for a second term.

The Democratic senator posted her third-quarter fundraising total on her Facebook page Thursday.

Three Republicans have filed so far to challenge McCaskill next year. The GOP hopefuls are former Missouri state Treasurer Sarah Steelman, Congressman Todd Akin and businessman John Brunner.

Senate candidates must file campaign finance reports covering July through September by the end of this week.

I think it would be wise for Ms. McCaskill to save her money – it appears that most of her ilk will not be invited back to the Capitol.

Did she sell “that damned plane” yet?

    Just sayin’….
