ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The Rangers have left the ‘Lou on an American Airlines charter that took them, their staff and family members on a quiet flight back to Dallas. The Ranger’s are an elite, classy and talented baseball team with a Manager who is one-of-a-kind.
This afternoon at 4 PM in downtown St. Louis, a parade will be held to celebrate the Cardinal’s “never say die” Wild Card run to an unexpected victory over some of the toughest teams in major league baseball. There’s was even a home town hero element to the story, playoff and World Series MVP David Freese, who has turned into our version of Roy Hobbs.
In fact, many of the Cardinals are at the Rams/New Orleans game today at the Edward Jones Dome with the World Series trophy. Maybe they can bring the Rams some inspiration, and hope. Dare we say a victory?
The Cardinals proved the truth of the old adage about never giving up on your dreams. It is an inspirational story that, as Cardinal principal owner and managing partner Bill DeWitt, Jr. said, “is one for the ages.”
And in case you missed it, the chocolate Rally Squirrels are still on sale at Crown Candy Kitchen.
After many “Happy Flights,” it’s now the moment for many happy memories.
It is said that everybody wants to go to heaven, but when it comes to baseball, we’re already here.
