St. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) –  When the St. Charles County Council meets tonight one of the hot topics on the agenda deals with a smoking ban.

In May the council voted to put the issue on the ballot but  County Executive Steve Ehlmann blocked the move because he said it had too many exemptions, for example the smoking ban exempted Ameristar Casino in St. Charles.

Republican county councilman Joe Cronin wants the public to have the final say by putting two measures on the ballot, one involving the ban and another asking if casinos should allow smoking.

The seven-member council will decide tonight if both measures make it to the voters next November.

It’s simple. Any venue that allows and hires only adults, who wants to allow smoking, post signs stating that on doors. Can people not READ in St Charles County? If a smoking ban is good for business, then that business may decide to allow smoking. If it’s good for it, it will be non smoking.

Gee! I must be a rocket scientist!
