ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-A St. Louis man on parole for burglary, is charged with abducting a woman off a Metrobus at gunpoint and raping her.

Investigators say that after striking up a conversation with the woman,  23-year-old Darnell Clemons pulled a gun on her, refused to let her off the bus at her stop, and threatened other passengers who tried to intervene.

Clemons allegedly made the woman get off in the 5300 block of Kingshighway. Police say he forced her into the home he shared with his mother in that block, and raped her.

Investigators say bus video shows Clemons sitting next to the woman, holding what appears to be a gun.

Clemons is also wanted for forcible rape in Maplewood and domestic assault in St. Louis.

This is truly scary situation that I never thought about before this incident. My girlfriend and sister that ride metro bus and train occasionally now need to be concerned with being abducted in transit?!! This is another example of why there is a need for residents and commuters to protect themselves from being victimized by street thugs. Visit
