ST. LOUIS – Traffic heading into downtown will flow a little easier starting tomorrow after the express lanes reopen eastbound before evening rush December 22.
The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Millstone Bangert, will reopen the lanes after having them closed since October to construct portions of the connection between I-70 and the new Mississippi River Bridge.
Since traffic levels are significantly higher on eastbound I-70 than westbound I-70 during both rush periods, the lanes will remain open eastbound for both morning and evening rush.
