BELLEVILLE, IL. (KMOX) –The Southwest Illinois College Campus has been given the all clear.

There was a bomb threat to the campus earlier which prompted a search of the grounds by officers and explosive detection canines.

In a statement late Friday officials say the campus is safe and that the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department is now working with SWIC public safety officials to find the person or persons who made the false threat.

officials say all campus activities will resume.
