ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  The man accused of sneaking his sick daughter out of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Sunday now faces criminal charges.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office Tuesday issued at-large warrants for 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Interference With Custody against 53-year-old Dana Jones of Ingleside Illinois.

14-year-old kidney patient Brittany Jones disappeared from protective custody while she was a patient at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Sunday afternoon.

Surveillance photos showed her leaving with a man later identified as her father, Dana Jones.

A frantic search was launched for the girl’s whereabouts because she recently received a kidney transplant and needed immediate medical attention.

She was located Sunday evening at Milwaukee Children’s hospital.

Dana Jones remains in custody in the Milwaukee County Jail.
