FERGUSON, MO. (KMOX) – Police have a mystery on their hands , with the shooting of a Dollar General Store employee.

It’s an unusual case, not just because it happened at a Dollar General.  Police say it was not a robbery.

The shooter who had a small calibur weapon, perhaps even a B-B gun, simply stood in the doorway with a bandana wrapped around his face and shot the teenage employee and fled.

There was no demand for money.  The store is located in the 10,000 block of West Florissant Avenue.

The teen was hit in the face. The wound is not life threatening.  Police are going over the store’s surveillance camera recordings.
