CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) – The Missouri attorney general’s office says it has reached an out-of-court settlement with a Utah-based home security provider.

Pinnacle Security will pay out $76,000 dollars to end a dispute over deceptive sales practice allegations.

Forty-six-thousand of that will be refunded to Pinnacle customers.

The settlement was announced Friday in St. Louis County Circuit Court.

The Missouri attorney general’s office says in addition to the $46,000 in restitution, Pinnacle must also pay refunds to any consumer who files a new complaint within the next four months and provides documentation showing they were induced to enter a contract with the defendant using unfair or deceptive practices.
