JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOX) — Rush Limbaugh’s Bronze Bust was reported to be on a truck en route to the Missouri Capitol Tuesday to become part of the Hall of Famous Missourians.

Sculptor E. Spencer Schubert posted on his website that he was “on the way to Jeff City to deliver Dred and Rush.”   (Dred refers to Dred Scott.)

There has been rancor over placing the bust of Rush in prominence with Dred Scott at the capitol ever since Rush referred to a Georgetown Law Student as a “slut.”

Reports that the bust of Rush was on the way to the capitol was denied by House Speaker Steven Tilley’s office who said only Dred Scott’s bust was being brought.

References to Rush’s bust on sculptor Schubert’s website had also been removed.

A ceremony to induct Dred Scott into the Hall of Famous Missourians is scheduled for noon Wednesday.
