ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A few days after pleading not guilty to an indecent conduct charge, a South County grade school principal finds he’s lost his job.

Dr. Jim Walters had been off the job at Point Elementary in the Mehlville School District since March, after he was accused of walking up to a car in Forest Park and exposing himself to a college student.

Tuesday he was in court pleading not guilty and, according to his attorney, strongly denying any wrong doing.

This weekend, Mehlville Superintendent Eric Knost sent out a letter, regretfully informing district patrons that Walters will not be returning to Point and that the search for a new principal is now underway.
