MINER, Ill. (AP)- Authorities in central Illinois say a 37-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash near Minier.
The Tazewell County Coroner’s Office has identified the man as Allen R. Becker. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports that the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
An autopsy shows the preliminary causes of death were a broken neck and severed spinal cord. Toxicology tests are pending.
The coroner and the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the crash.
