ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Nearly a million Missouri residents are putting their cellphone numbers on the state’s new “no call” list to keep telemarketers away.

The Missouri telemarketing blacklist had previously been limited to landline residential phones. Attorney General Chris Koster says his office had already registered more than 1.8 million residential numbers before the list opened to cell phones.

The list is updated quarterly. So any numbers submitted to the attorney general’s office by July 31st will be covered on the next updated list released October first.

Missourians can register on the Attorney General’s website or by phone.
