ALTAMONT, Ill. (AP) –  Illinois’ state high school rodeo finals will stay in the small town of Altamont for another three years under an agreement expected to be finalized soon.

The Effingham Daily News reports the Illinois High School Rodeo Association and the local Altamont Rodeo Committee have tentatively agreed to keep the finals in Altamont at the Effingham County Fairgrounds.

Altamont is about 90 miles south of Champaign.
