ST. LOUIS  (KMOX) – A man known to Blues fans as being a part of the deal that sent Blues captain Chris Pronger to Edmonton years ago is coming back to St. Louis as a free agent signing.

Defenseman Jeff Woywitka signed a one-year, two-way contract on Monday.

The 28-year-old appeared in 27 games for the New York Rangers last season, tallying six points (one goal, five assists) and eight penalty minutes.

He last played for the Blues from 2005 to 2009, posting 35 points (six goals, 29 assists) and 106 penalty minutes.
