ST. PETERS, Mo. (AP) — A woman is jailed for allegedly using a rifle to rob a St. Charles County convenience store, then leading police on a chase.

KMOV-TV reports that the robbery happened around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday at a BP gas station near Interstate 70 in St. Peters. Police say the woman entered the store and demanded money and lottery tickets, then drove east on the interstate.

Officers spotted a car matching the description given by witnesses and a chase began. Police say the suspect drove more than 100 mph at times before pulling into St. Peters and stopping about eight miles from the scene of the robbery.

The suspect’s name has not been released pending formal charges.
