ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – An explosion is the way one security expert describes the increase in cyber crime around the globe.
In the last year alone there were 556 million victims world wide says Marian Merritt an advisor for Norton Security.
Merritt told KMOX News a study by her company shows men and millennials (or those born between the late 70s and early 2000s) are most likely to be hacked.
The increase is blamed on more internet access to Mobil devices and unsafe apps. Norton estimates cyber crime damage at 110 billion dollars in 24 countries.
She suggests to check for videos that seem out of place, have a strong password and change it and keep tabs on your bank accounts.
