JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KMOX) – After being pitted against one another because of redistricting and after some voters were given the wrong ballots, the special election for the 87th District State House seat is over, with Richmond Heights resident Stacey Newman winning over University City representative Susan Carlson.

This time the final unofficial tally was roughly 51 percent for Newman to Carlson’s 49 percent.

In the previous election, only one voted separated the two. This time the difference is about one-hundred votes.
