ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – He would have turned 19 Tuesday and family, friends and supporters of Christian Ferguson will gather to remember his life and call for justice in his case.

Ferguson has been missing since June 11, 2003. His father, Dawan Ferguson, called police to say his SUV had been stolen with Christian inside while he was calling Christian’s doctor from a phone booth at Skinker and Page.

Christian’s mother, Theda Wilson, says authorities had evidence but sat on it.

“Jennifer Joyce pulled herself off the case three weeks after my son’s disappearance, saying that there was a suspect and they were able to solve it. So how could she claim she’s getting off the case due a conflict of interest if there wasn’t a suspect in the case?”

Wilson says she is excited police have reopened the case.

The community is invited to hear about the status of Christian’s case at six o’clock Tuesday night at Sweetie Pies at the Mangrove Restaurant on Manchester Avenue in Tower Grove.
