The 43rd annual Missouri Athletic Club Jack Buck Sports Awards Dinner was another memorable night from the famous Missouri Room honoring the very best individuals offered by local sports. Hosted by KMOX Sports Director Tom Ackerman for a fifth consecutive year, the MAC honored a very prestigious recipient class that included Kirkwood High School football coach Matt Irvin, SLU men’s soccer coach Mike McGinty, Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Max Scherzer, national play-by-play broadcaster Joe Buck, St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson and St. Louis Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday as the 2012 Sports Personality of the Year.
