ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — The sound of SWAT team members echoed through the halls of Forest Park Community College Wednesday, as they took part in an armed intruder drill near the school’s theater.

Campus Police Chief Richard Branahan told KMOX that in their four years of doing the drills, his officers have learned cooperation is vital.

“Because when we get here, we may have a St. Louis City polcie man, an FBI agent, a secret service agent, and one of ours,” said Branahan. “So when we get in line, in formation we need everybody on the same page.”

St. Louis Emergency Management Agency Chairman Gary Christmann says one relatively new challenge, is disseminating accurate information.

“We want to make sure that people are directed to the correct site, to get that appropriate information, the correct information and the most updated information,” said Christmann.
