ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The mother of a missing St. Louis County girl says she was closely watching the developments in the Cleveland, Ohio case where three women were rescued — ten years after being abducted as teens.

“I was excited for them. I was excited for me, because I have hope! There’s a chance my daughter could still be alive somewhere, and I want to find her,” said Paula Cosey as she and family members passed out flyers in north St. Louis, Saturday, hoping someone will know what happened to 16-year-old Shemika Cosey in late December, 2008.

Shemika was last seen at a cousin’s house in Berkeley.

Anyone with possible leads in the missing person case is asked to call Berkeley Police at 314-524-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
