POTOSI, Mo. (KMOX)- A three-year-old Metro-East boy died during a family outing in the Mark Twain National Forest.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Aiden Whitehead of Granite City, Ill. was riding on a Polaris Ranger off-road vehicle with two adults, when it crashed, Saturday evening, in Washington County, near Potosi.

All three were ejected.

Troopers say Aiden Whitehead suffered fatal injuries.
