Don’t ever underestimate the power of Cardinal Nation.

Last Saturday was a nasty, sticky, hot and humid day yet hundreds of fans showed up to get an autographed photo of Cardinal 3rd baseman David Freese.

When I showed up at the AT&T store on Brentwood Boulevard just south of I64 there was already a long line of people ready for David to arrive.  By the time he made his on-time appearance at 10:30 the line stretched down the side of the building and around the back of the building.  Well over two hundred people patiently waited as David signed autographs and had his picture taken.

The whole thing went off so well because AT&T and the Cardinals made it work like clockwork.  Special thanks to the St. Louis County and Brentwood police departments for helping with crowd control.

I think by the time the last autograph was signed David probably had writers cramp but all in all it was a great morning and proof that Cardinal fans are the best in the country.
