The Cardinals look to take their series with the Oakland Athletics on Sunday afternoon. Beat writer Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joined Ron from California.

Not a good week of news for the NFL as a few players were involved with gun-related felonies, including murder. Ron talked about this seemingly growing issue with AP Pro Football writer Barry Wilner.

Next month, former managers Whitey Herzog, Tommy Lasorda & Bobby Cox will take part in a roundtable event. Ron previewed the event with St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame President Greg Marecek.

The first international soccer friendly was so successful, there will be another on August 10 at the Edward Jones Dome featuring Real Madrid & Inter Milan. Ron spoke about the event with Bill McDermott.

The Blues do not have a first round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, but they are ready to move up or pick at #47 overall. Ron talked with Bill Armstrong, the Blues head of amateur scouting.

The Cardinals got a much-needed win on Saturday as they have been in a bit of a funk lately. Yet, no need for concern as GM John Mozeliak told Ron when he joined the show.

The LPGA is under a ‘Asian invasion’ as Asian women have dominated the tournaments as of late. Golf editor Dan Reardon joined Ron to discuss that and more.
