ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The St. Louis Cardinals announced Tuesday that right-handed pitcher Mitchell Boggs, currently at Memphis (AAA), has been traded to the Colorado Rockies for an international signing bonus slot #4.

Boggs, 29, was drafted by the Cardinals in 2005 and was a member of the team from 2008-2013, including the team’s World Championship season in 2011.

“We wish Mitchell all the best with Colorado,” said Cardinals Senior Vice President/General Manager John Mozeliak in a news release. “He is a tremendous individual who provided many contributions to the organization’s success.”
