HOPE, Ark. (CBS St. Louis) – Not long after a video leaked which showed singer Justin Bieber cursing at an image of former President Bill Clinton, the embattled pop star took to social media to press the matter further.

Using his official Twitter account, Bieber reached out to the Hope, Ark.-born Clinton – though some are doubting the sincerity of what he said.

“@billclinton thanks for taking the time to talk Mr. President,” he wrote. “Your words meant alot [sic].”

He also used the hashtag “greatguy” while writing on the micro-blogging site.

Many of those that responded to the message interpreted his words as sarcasm while laughing at his words.

The aforementioned video, posted by TMZ, mainly features Bieber urinating into a mop bucket at a restaurant in New York City. Once he is done, he sprays a nearby picture of Clinton with cleaning solution as he makes his way back into the main portion of the restaurant.

“F*** Bill Clinton,” he says, while his friends laugh in the video, which was reportedly taped earlier this year.
