ROLLA, Mo. – The campus of Missouri University of Science and Technology was evacuated late Wednesday morning after a gas main break on campus.

The engineering school in Rolla, Mo. was tweeting to alerts to students during the ordeal that ended about 20 minutes ago.

Internet still not restored to campus. Updates on today’s gas leak at until Internet service restored.

The Rolla Police Department used its Facebook page to warn those evacuating to not use light switches, cell phones or any electrical device that could generate a spark.

No word yet on what caused the pipe break.
