EDWARDSVILLE, Il. (KMOX) – An SIU-Edwardsville student had a harrowing experience late Wednesday night.

It all started in the Prairie Hall parking lot of SIUE.

A student was approached by an armed subject wearing a mask who came out of some nearby woods.

The assailant blindfolded the student and ordered him to get into a vehicle occupied by two other subjects.

They drove around for about two hours, before finally taking the student to an ATM and forcing him to withdraw cash and hand it over to them.

The victim was later found unharmed along Tower Lake Road.

A search for the suspects is still underway.
