WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (KMOX) – A 19-year-old man is dead, and investigators are hoping surveillance video helps them find his killer.

Lamont Gregory was shot outside the Crown Mart at Kingshighway and Warren in Washington Park at about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. He stumbled into the gas station and collapsed.

He died later a hospital.

State Police Master Sgt. Mark Doiron tells KMOX it might have been a drive-by attack.

“We believe that to be a case, and we are identifying businesses in the area to try and recover or view surveillance footage,” he says.

Anyone with information on the shooting, is urged to call Illinois State Police Special Agent Ben Koch at 618-589-2335 or Crimestoppers at 1-866-371-8477.

Crimestoppers offers a $2,000 reward for correct information.
