ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Pro football Hall of Famer Aeneas Williams and recently-retired Cardinals fan favorite Chris Carpenter are among the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame’s class of 2014.

KMOX’s Ron Jacober announced the list of 16 names on his “Sports on a Sunday Morning” show.

University of Missouri football alum Gus Otto and former Cardinals star Orlando Cepeda are also to be inducted.

There are three names closely associated with Blues hockey: the late broadcaster Dan Kelly, former player Bob Plager, and former player and coach Brian Sutter.

Others include St. Louis Hawks guard Al Ferrari, former USA soccer superstar Taylor Twellman, women’s college basketball star Kristin Folkl, and USA Olympian Connie Price-Smith.

Rounding out the list are NCAA basketball official Ed Hightower, McKendree University basketball coach Harry Statham, Washington University athletic director John Schael, pro softball legend Todd Joerling, and former Cardinal baseball team trainer Gene Gieselmann.

The induction ceremony will be September 24th at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.
