PHOENIX (KMOX) – Former St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa is getting a central Missouri native to play for his Arizona Diamondbacks.

LaRussa’s front office announced Sunday that Arizona made a deal for outfielder Blake Tekotte of the Chicago White Sox.

The 27-year-old outfielder grew up in Columbia, Missouri and attended Hickman High School. He played college baseball at the University of Miami.

Arizona sent cash to Chicago to complete the trade.
