ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Blues made a trade on Saturday, sending defenseman Jordan Leopold to Columbus, in exchange for the Blue Jackets’ fifth-round draft pick in 2016.

“We want to thank Jordan for his hard work and dedication while in St. Louis,” said Blues general manager Doug Armstrong. “Jordan is a true professional, and we wish him and his family the best of luck in the future.”

The 34-year-old Leopold was originally acquired by the Blues from Buffalo on Mar. 30, 2013. He went on to post eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 49 regular season games with the club, as well as one assist in 12 postseason appearances.

Doug Armstrong said the Blues will be recalling defenseman & St. Louis native (Chaminade HS) Chris Butler from the Chicago Wolves soon.
