The 45th Jack Buck Sports Awards were held at the Missouri Athletic Club on December 10, with Blues forward TJ Oshie receiving the “Sports Personality of the Year” award among the seven honors handed out at St. Louis’ premier sports banquet.

From our broadcast on KMOX, here are five moments from the evening:

1) KMOX Sports Director Tom Ackerman opens the program wiith a look back at 2014 and introduces the sold-out crowd to the evening’s honorees.

2) Oshie is presented by Hall of Famer Brett Hull, who received the “Sports Personality of the Year” award in 1990.

3) Hall of Famer Dan Dierdorf, who could not attend because of a recent surgery, accepts the Burnes/Broeg Award for his years of promoting St. Louis through sports.

4) Legends Award recipient Steve Stipanovich, a star at DeSmet and Mizzou before his NBA career, gives a memorable speech discussing basketball, family and charity work.

5) A member of the Cardinals Hall of Fame, Jim Edmonds receives the “Stan the Man” Award from Stan Musial’s grandson, Brian Schwarze.
